Many turners start with wet wood from freshly felled trees, rough-turning to about 10% wall thickness so it can dry without cracking. But even after reaching “ambient” moisture levels (around 6%), some pieces continue to move—especially depending on species and grain. Traditional moisture meters often struggle to measure below 5%, leaving you blind at the final, critical stage of drying.

TurnDry solves this by combining your initial moisture readings with precise weight tracking over time.
